Aged, peeling paint is often a source of unexpected colors. We found our 18th century powder blue on the side of a brick building in a gravel yard. Sometimes rooms need nothing less than extravagant treatment. The brick’s pink emanating through the faded blue denies any cold sensations, and promises glamour to walls of austere plaster or to elaborate boiserie alike.
